Travertine Tile

Travertine is a natural stone product characterized by pitted holes and troughs in its surface. It consists almost solely of calcium carbonate, but can contain small amounts of quarts and clay. Travertine has been used for thousands of years, including to construct most of the Colosseum in Rome. Often beautifully colored as a result of iron compounds and other impurities, Travertine's subtle style and smooth texture give it a regal feeling.

Travertine is appropriate for residential and commercial applications, including flooring, walls, showers and counters, and is available as tiles or larger sheets.
